Patient Experience Coach and Leader

As the founder and principal of Savyon Healthcare Consulting, Lynda Savyon specializes in improving the patient experience, coaching for peak performance, and leadership development. With a deep understanding of the healthcare field, she uses a blend of techniques to help healthcare professionals increase their effectiveness and achieve their goals.

Her services include coaching, customized workshops, management skill-building, and best practice implementation. In addition, process improvement, data analysis, survey design, focus groups, and mystery shopping can all be put to use for strategic planning and goal setting.

With more than 30 years in healthcare, Lynda knows what it takes to improve performance in the healthcare setting.  As a consultant, she has worked with a number of  hospitals in the New York metropolitan area to improve overall performance. In addition, she has provided confidential executive and physician coaching for many individuals.

Prior to forming her own firm, she worked for many years for the North Shore-LIJ Health System (now Northwell Health) – one of the largest healthcare systems in the country. Serving in a variety of leadership positions, she spearheaded, developed, and led the service excellence culture as a strategic priority for the entire organization. As the Patient Experience Executive in charge of system-wide, large-scale customer service improvement initiatives, her team successfully increased patient satisfaction ratings to their highest level.

In addition, she served on the faculty of North Shore-LIJ’s corporate university, the Center for Learning and Innovation. While there, she taught full-day seminars for managers and staff on how to build a service culture, improve communication skills, and understand different personality types.

Prior to her executive role, she held a number of positions in corporate development, administration, and patient care services. Before that, she was the director of a hospital social work department, having worked her way up from a staff social work position. She gained valuable experience in program development and was awarded a number of large grants. She is also an experienced psychotherapist and Life Coach, and maintains a private practice working with individuals and couples.

With her diverse background in healthcare administration, patient satisfaction, customer service, coaching, psychotherapy, and program development, she brings together a breadth and depth of knowledge from both the clinical and administrative worlds.

She is a licensed clinical social worker, and holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and a B.S. in Social Welfare. She is a certified Myers-Briggs Administrator, a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and a board member of the New York Association for Psychological Type.

Listed in Who’s Who of American Executives and Professionals, she is also a member of the American Society of Training and Development, The Beryl Institute for Patient Experience, and the National Association of Social Workers.  In addition, she holds professional certifications in Training and Organizational Development, Survey Research and Design, and Customer Support Specialist Training.
